The goal of the project was to recreate a SEM image in Maya using Renderman's Occlusion renderer. I chose to recreate a SEM image of bread mold.
Trouble Shooting/ Problems
- My biggest issue that I had was the displacements to work well with the ramps and radial shaders. There are a lot of color ramps being mixed with strength ramps being mixed with displacements, which made it difficult to isolate which shaders had to be tweaked to get an accurate image.
- There also seems to be a glow emitting from the ends of the branches which I had trouble trying to recreate.
